A short story by: Nadege, Françoise, Rita, & Anaïs
It was 2007 when courageous women from Boston decided to help Rwandan people, especially girls by building a school that will help and promote girl’s right to study. After building the school, they handed it over to the Benebikira.
The Benebikira accepted the honor of being the head of this beautiful school, which was officially opened by her Excellency, the first lady of Rwanda, Jeanette Kagame. The Benebikira took the school with great responsibility and passion.
As we look at our motto, it says “Respect, Responsibility, and Leadership”. This motto taught us that women can also be leaders of tomorrow and not just sweepers of the house. The story is with us by heart. Those women brought great fortune to us Rwandan women by giving life to MARANYUNDO GIRLS SCHOOL.
