Sister Ann co-founded the Paraclete Foundation in South Boston in 1998 to provide educational enrichment opportunities to South Boston youth. She is the founder of the Maranyundo Girls School. Prior to founding the Paraclete Foundation, Sister Ann was the Director of the South Boston Neighborhood House. In the early 1970s Sister Ann created one of the earliest education training programs for welfare mothers in the Bromley Heath housing development. Early in her career she worked as a social worker in New York City and Baltimore. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Fordham University School of Social Work. She was consecrated in 1974 by Humberto Cardinal Medeiros for the Archdiocese of Boston. She is a founding member of the Women Waging Peace Initiative.
