MGS Students Winners of the Wavumbuzi Student Entrepreneurs Award

It is with great pride that we share with you all exciting news that two Maranyundo students have been selected as winners of the Wavumbuzi Student Entrepreneurs award for successfully going through its challenges. Wavumbuzi is a young entrepreneurs program in which students and other young people learn and compete on entrepreneurship skills. Last saturday there was a competition on sports and banking. Students from different schools were to respond to a multitude of questions, most pertaining to entrepreneurship skills. 2 MGS students won the challenge and each received a new laptop!

This was created specifically for students to compete at this year’s Hanga Pitchfest, a start-up festival showcasing tech entrepreneurs and creative talents from all over Rwanda to promote the use of technology and innovation in the wider Rwandan market. The event strives to match start-ups with potential opportunities and investors, and was the brainchild of the Ministry of ICT and Innovation and the Rwanda Development Board.

Congratulation to the students and this momentous achievement!
