A Look Back at 2025

MGS Students Highlights

The students at Maranyundo Girls School excelled at competitions this year.
MGS students competed in the National Advanced Debate Competition and made it to the semi-finals!
Students participated at the national level in the Rwanda Mathematics Competition. A team called the ‘Maran Lego Aquaflares’ got second place in First LEGO League National Championship in Rwanda.
The WAKE International team visited MGS and had a Tech2Empower program with workshops covering topics such as problem solving, digital wellbeing and AI-powered video creating and storytelling.
Additionally, an MGS student was among five Rwandan students who competed at the AI Innovation Competition in China and another MGS student represented Rwanda at the Pan-African Informatics competition in South Africa competing on computer programming.
These accomplishments reflect the Maranyundo students’ dedication to hard work and determination to succeed.
Maranyundo Training and Learning Center Construction

The construction of the Maranyundo Learning and Training Center (MTLC) is almost finished! Teachers, students, and community members will be trained through ongoing programming in digital literacy and digital learning strategies. We are still seeking key partners for essential furniture, equipment, and solar panels.
